How to find your appliance model number.
Find the right appliance identification details without moving a heavy appliance or removing a panel.

Start with the paperwork or an accessible label.
Check your purchase records or the manufacturer’s model-label location guide. The brand name on the front is not the full model number. Labels may be inside a refrigerator compartment or around an accessible door or lid opening; the exact position varies by appliance and model.
Photograph the complete label.
Keep the letters, numbers and suffix exactly as printed. A clear photo is easier to check than a partial number typed from memory. Model and serial numbers are separate identifiers, so include both labels in the photo if available. Do not confuse an electrical rating or a part number with the appliance model.
Leave difficult access for the visit.
Do not pull out a heavy appliance, unstack a laundry pair, lift a cooktop or remove a cover just to locate the label. If the label is inaccessible or unreadable, describe the appliance and installation instead. You can still request a visit.
Add it to your repair description.
Include the model alongside the symptom, any exact display code and whether the appliance is built in or stacked. For example: “Built-in dishwasher; the label is inside the door. It stops before draining and displays this code.” The model helps us review the configuration and service suitability before confirming an appointment.
Make the identification easy to check.
Keep one clear label photo with the appliance name and your service notes. If you own matching laundry machines, say whether the label belongs to the washer or the dryer. For a combination appliance, photograph the accessible identification for the whole unit rather than a number printed on a removable rack, filter or accessory.
Your questions, answered.
Is the model number the same as the serial number?
No. They are separate identifiers. Copy the fields exactly as labelled, including letters and suffixes. If the label is hard to read, keep a clear photo rather than guessing a missing character.
Can I book if the label is worn or hidden?
Yes. Tell us the brand, appliance, installation and problem. Leave inaccessible labels for the visit rather than moving a heavy appliance or taking off a panel. We can discuss identification when reviewing your request.
Will a model number tell you which part has failed?
It identifies the appliance configuration and helps check compatible information or parts. It does not diagnose the fault. Include the symptoms and exact display message as well; proposed repair work follows assessment.
